George Longwa

Head Coach/Coaching Dir.
George, founder of Advanced Soccer Training (AST), brings a lifetime of experience and passion for the game. Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa, George began his journey with the Pro Junior Academy club, the Kalulushi Modern Stars, where he played from 1996–1999. At 14, he relocated to Bridgeport, Connecticut, a city he proudly calls home. By 17, just after graduating high school, he was already shaping the future of soccer by coaching and developing some of Fairfield County’s top talent.
In addition to competing regionally and nationally with a Semi-Professional team, George has dedicated his career to developing players at every level of the game. Under his guidance, athletes have earned full scholarships at NCAA DI, DII, and DIII programs, while others have advanced to professional and academy teams such as NYCFC, NY Red Bulls, New England Revolution, and the U.S. National Team. His influence even extends internationally, with one of his trainees earning a spot on the Women’s National Team of Peru.
With a proven track record of excellence, George continues to inspire and prepare the next generation of elite players through Advanced Soccer Training.
Johnny Argueta

Head Coach
Johnny, Co-Founder of AST, was born in Bridgeport, CT, and began his competitive soccer journey at the age of 10. By 14, he had advanced his skills and joined South Central Premier at the Academy level, a team ranked 15th nationally at the time. After graduating from Kolbe Cathedral High School, Johnny played at the Semi-Professional level, competing both regionally and nationally.
With over a decade of premier coaching experience, he has served as the Varsity Head Coach for Notre Dame High School in Fairfield, leading his team to the State Semi-Finals in just his second year, and is now the Head Coach at Stratford High School in Stratford, CT.
Josh erdos

Coach
Josh began his soccer career at a young age with Sterling House and Stratford Travel before advancing through the U14–U18 age groups with Beachside Soccer Club. He went on to compete collegiately at the University of Bridgeport, where he played for four years. During his senior year, he served as team captain and helped lead the team to a CACC Conference Championship.
Josh has been with Advanced Soccer Training since its beginning and was personally trained by Head Coach George. With a strong playing background and years of competitive experience, Coach Josh is proud to now channel his knowledge, leadership, and passion for the game into coaching and player development.
Gideon Olawale

Coach
Gideon has competed in soccer at both the club and collegiate levels, building a strong foundation through years of high-level competition. From 2017 to 2020, he played club soccer with Bridgeport Premier before competing in the UPSL with GZS Bridgeport. He later continued his UPSL career with Southwest FC, where he currently plays. In addition, he competes at the Division III collegiate level as a defender for Western Connecticut State University’s men’s soccer team.
Alongside his playing career, he began coaching in 2023 with Bridgeport United Girls, where he developed a passion for teaching and mentoring young athletes. In 2024, he joined Advanced Soccer Training, expanding his role in player development, and in 2025, he began coaching with Sterling Advanced Futbol Club. Through these roles, he remains committed to fostering technical growth, confidence, and a strong understanding of the game in the players he works with.
KEN MAICKENSON

Coach
Ken Maickenson developed his football foundation through Millien Dreams Academy Football Club, where he refined his technical skills and tactical understanding of the game. His talent and dedication led to national recognition, earning him selection to represent the Haiti National Team at both the U15 and U17 levels. Ken also gained valuable competitive experience with APA United Football Club, further strengthening his development as a high-level player.
In 2025, Ken began working with Advanced Soccer Training (AST), where he brings his international experience, discipline, and passion for the game into a coaching and development-focused environment. He remains committed to helping players grow both on and off the field while sharing the knowledge gained throughout his playing journey.
Annie ranadrovic

Coach
Annie has been passionate about soccer for as long as she can remember. She began her soccer journey at Sterling House and developed her skills playing a combination of travel and premier teams through high school.
She is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education at CT State Community College and has been coaching with Advanced Soccer Training since 2024, helping young players build their skills, confidence, and love for the game.
